WP Midday Artist Series | Bassist Marcus McLaurineFeb 13, 2025 @ 12:30 PM Location: Shea Center for Performing ArtsJazz bassist Marcus McLaurine has had long and distinguished career as one the nation’s most respected artists on his instrument, including a decades long stint with legendary jazz trumpeter Clark Terry, membership in the Count Basie Orchestra, recordings with Abdullah Ibrahim, Kenny Burrell, and many others. He brings with him to the stage renowned vibraphonist Steve Nelson (also a current WP jazz faculty member) and pianist Rick Germanson. Mr. McLaurine has been on the WP jazz studies faculty since 1997.
