Bi-Weekly Earnings Calculations In order to simplify, streamline, and automate processes in Workday, the Bi-Weekly Gross Earnings will be paid in equal pay periods for the 10 month and 12 month employees. The Bi-Weekly Gross Salary is determined by dividing Contractual Annual Salary amount by the number of pay periods in the calendar year. The number of pay periods for 12-Months employees is 26 and for 10-Months employee is 22 Full Time Employees: If a 12-Months employee’s annual salary is $100,000, the bi-weekly base salary is $3,846.15Annual Salary: $100,000/26 = $3,846.15 Bi-weekly Gross Earnings If a 10-Months employee’s annual salary is $100,000, the bi-weekly base salary is $4,545.45Annual Salary: $100,000/22 = $4,545.45 Bi-weekly Gross Earnings The bi-weekly amount is paid over 10 months from September 1st to June 30th. No payments in July and August. Part Time and Student Employees: Part Time and student employees are paid based on the number of hours worked in the pay period multiplied by the Hourly Rate. Overload Payment: In Workday, Overload Payment is considered a Period Activity Pay (PAP). WD will spread the payment over the course of the activity. Each activity will have a start and end date and the payment will be divided between these dates on a bi-weekly basis. Adjuncts Payments: Adjunct Payment is considered a Period Activity Pay. Adjunct payments are calculated based on the minimum employee compensation per credit hour multiplied by the number of credits taught per semester or session. The activity pay will be divided between the start and end dates and paid bi-weekly. Graduate Assistance Payments: Graduate Assistance stipends are paid over 10 months from September 1st to June 30th with a Pay Factor 22. Normally, the GA stipend is $6,000, the Bi-Weekly payment is $272.72 (6,000 divided by 22) Stipend and Special Payments: Stipend and Special Payments are paid according to instructions from the hiring department.
